HIRERS AND DRIVERS

Hirers and drivers must be over 21 years of age.  Drivers must have held their full licence for three years or more. 

DRIVER'S LICENCES

All drivers must present a current, valid diver's licence suitable for the vehicle they are hiring on collection of the vehicle.  Additional drivers must also present their licence.

Hirers taking fee-paying passengers are required to present their valid Transport Service Licence, and their drivers must have a P endorsement on their licences.

DEPOSIT

Pre-payment of the estimated cost of the hire plus a security bond is required on commencement of the hire.  Contact us to find out the total deposit required for your hire.  We accept payment by credit card, EFT-POS and cash.  Direct credits may be arranged with sufficient advance notice.

INSURANCE

In the event of an accident, the insurance excess for all vehicles is $1500 plus GST.  This is subject to change without notice.  We do not offer a collision damage waiver.  You will not be covered by our insurance if you are operating outside the terms of the hire (e.g. the vehicle is being driven by an unauthorized driver).  Any accident or other serious incident must be reported to us immediately.

RETURN TIME

Return times are strictly enforced, as other hirers may be waiting for your vehicle.  If an extension is required, you must notify us as soon as possible.  Late return may incur additional charges.

GOODS CARRIED IN VEHICLES

Goods carried in vehicles are carried at the hirer's risk and are not covered by the vehicle insurance cover.  Metropolitan Rentals accepts no liability for damage done to any goods carried in our vehicles.
